Trumpeter Avishai Cohen is praised for his own sound and creative mind, which is always open to multiple movements within jazz. He has been voted Rising Star in the DownBeat Critics Poll no less than three times in a row.
Artist Entrepreneur 2024
Composer, conductor and artistic director Tijn Wybenga combines modern classical, jazz and electronics with improvisation, dance and theatre. For two years he was 'nieuwe maker' in the Bimhuis, Amsterdam. There he founded his 14-piece ensemble AM.OK (Amsterdam Modern Orchestra), with top musicians from the Dutch jazz scene.
Proloog vrijdag 7 juni
Speel vrijdag middag 7 juni vanaf 16.00 uur mee met het improvisatie concert, samen met de Amsterdam Klezmer band en word zelf onderdeel van de spetterende opening van Jazz te Gast! Iedereen kan meedoen, van harp, zang, hobo, tot keyboard of djembé, het maakt niet uit wat je speelt of hoeveel ervaring je hebt.
